BECOMING STRONG IN THE LORD: Get The Armour of God

Weekly Anchor Scripture: "Matthew 11:12

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."

Topic: Get The Armour of God
Focus Scripture: "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." - Ephesians 6: 11

Admonition
I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in Jesus' name. Amen.

One of most striking of Jesus' statements is the one found in Matthew 11: 12 being used this morning as our Weekly Anchor Scripture. We were reminded by the Holy Spirit, the penultimate week that we shall enter heaven in much tribulations, NOT IN PLEASURES as being peddled by some devil's agents calling themselves preachers today. To drive this point home into us, the Bible repeared again in 1 Timothy 5:6 that "But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth." I pray God will grant us understanding in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Our Anchor Scripture for the week makes it clear that we need to become violent to be able to enter heaven  and as rightly espoused by our Focus Scripture this morning, what our violence requires or what we need to become so violent to qualify for heaven is but the ARMOUR OF GOD.

We shall take this morning's admonition as an introduction into what will likely take two weeks because the Holy Spirit needs to disabuse our mind of some wrong teachings of which I too had been a partaker in the past when I was looking for miracles. Let me amuse you a little: then, the pastor and the deliverance ministers will tell us, "you can not be free from witches and wizards and attain your destiny until you become powerful in the Lord. See the Bible says from the day of John the Baptist,.  . . . . So, shout it loud and clear  . . . ." Today,  when I remember those days and all the troubles I went through during deliverance sessions that yielded no results, I just laugh at my stupid spiritual ignorance upon which pastors fed fat.

Beloved brethren, the only reason we need to be strong in the Lord and become violent is for us to be able to withstand the wiles of the devil.

The wiles of the devil means the deceits (lies) of the devil, which is his only  weapon. Our inability to stand against this from our only adversary could mean that we won't make it Home on the Last Day. I pray this will not be our testimonies in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

As we close this morning beloved brethren, let us have these two attributes  in mind as regards the armout of God that we must bear to make it Home. One, the armour of God is not carnal, but spiritual (2 Corinthians 10: 4) and when we are completely dressed in it, we are very sure of FINISHING STRONG. Two, the armour of God places some responsibilities on us as Christians. This therefore questions the doctrine and prachings that Jesus had done all the work for us. Be not deceived brethren, we still need to play our own part, fully and gloriously empowered by the Holy Spirit of God without which FINISHING STRONG and making it becomes impossible.

Till tomorrow when we shall meet again on this beautiful journey of FINISHING STRONG, please keep keeping on in Him.

Jesus Christ loves you!
