BECOMING STRONG IN THE LORD: Get The Armour of God

Image
Weekly Anchor Scripture: " Matthew 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Monday 21st September, 2020 Topic: Get The Armour of God  Focus Scripture: "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." - Ephesians 6: 11   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in Jesus' name. Amen.  One of most striking of Jesus' statements is the one found in Matthew 11: 12 being used this morning as our Weekly Anchor Scripture. We were reminded by the Holy Spirit, the penultimate week that we shall enter heaven in much tribulations, NOT IN PLEASURES as being peddled by some devil's agents calling themselves preachers today. To drive this point home into us, the Bible repeared again in 1 Timothy 5:6 that "But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth." I pray God will grant us und

ENDURING TO THE END: WATCH AND PRAY

Image
Weekly Anchor Scripture:  “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”   – Matthew 24: 13 Focus Scripture:  “ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak " -   Matthew 26:41   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today's list of what we should do to endure to the end comes with two important things that our faith cannot do without if it must survive the devil's onslaughts in these last days, Watch and Pray. The Holy Spirit made it very clear to us in 1 Timothy 3: 1 - 7 that these last days would be (and already are) perilous. Mind you, the days wouldn't be perilous because people would die, but because many faith (of the people)  would be shipwrecked because they are not strong enough to withstand the devil's onslaughts. This is what will eventually lead to loss of their souls.  " the days wouldn't be perilous because peop

ENDURING TO THE END: REJOICE ALWAYS

Image
Weekly Anchor Scripture:  “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”   – Matthew 24: 13 Focus Scripture:  “Rejoice in the Lord alway:  and  again I say, Rejoice.”  – Philippians 4: 4   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The only potent weapon the devil can boast of is lie. Jesus Christ calls him,  “the father of lie”  (John 8: 44). That is one thing that most Christians and even his own followers don’t know. Whatever he says or does is nothing but lies. That is why I always pity those who prosper through his methods because what they have are like mirages, like dreams of the night. So whether he brings you joy or sadness, whichever, it is all lies! Permit me to say that very early in my Christian journey, the Holy Spirit helped me to realize this truth about the devil. So, aside not desiring anything from him, I learned not to regard whatever he brings my way. Of course, as a firm believer and one holdi

HAVING MORE OF GOD

Sunday Sermon  - 22nd June, 2020 Introduction The order in this world now is to have everything upside down. The world and its people now engage in what the English will call "putting the cart before the horse." And it's such a pity that the church itself has found it so impossible to extricate itself from the stranglehold of this strange way of doing things. For example, the church today encourages becoming born-again before having the desire to seek God and have any love, if any at all, for God and His Christ. This is the reason there are many stillborn amongst the so-called children of God all over the places today.  In the same vein, most people go to churches, crusades and what have you because they want something from God. In fact, over 99% of every church population, even many so-called pastors inclusive, falls in this category. Out of the less than 1% percent remaining are those who just came because they feel they needed to go to church; not for anything in

Man's Honour: A Stealth Impediment to Faith

Activity: Sunday Message Anchor Scripture:   “I receive not honour from man.”  - John 5: 41 Scripture Reading:  John 5: 39 – 47 Message One of the things people are after in the world today is recognition and rewards. The motivation and reason for some people’s involvement in their places of “worship” is for them to be recognized and honoured by their fellow men. People want to be appreciated, and therefore, recognized, honoured and celebrated by their fellowmen for whatever feat they might have achieved. Just as it is in the world, so it is now in the church of God, and when people are not so recognized, they become disgruntled and unhappy and may even decide to quit that congregation that is not honouring “their efforts”. In the book of 2 Kings 5: 2, the Bible speaks of “a little maid” who announced the God of Israel to Naaman, the head of the Syrian army and by whom Naaman got healed from his leprosy. Amazingly, the Bible never mentioned that “little maid” agai

Before Lazarus Was Raised

Activity: Sunday Message Anchor Scripture: John 11: 1 - 44 Introduction The church today, the pulpit and the congregation, is full of people who want miracles, by whatever means they can get it. Every miracle that happened in the Bible are being preached over and over and sometimes, over stretched, by the pulpit, albeit to impress the congregation and make them “believe”. Unfortunately, most people in the congregation are not able to see through most of these messages because according to the Word of God, they have also developed “itching ears” (2 Timothy 4: 3). We pray the good Lord to heal His church of graven covetousness in Jesus' Name. Amen. Message Many of the greatest works of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible that amazed the people of that time most was the raising of Lazarus from death after four days of his death. Jesus Christ was even discouraged by members of Lazarus’ family that the Lord should not bother again, because by then, he has started decayin

AREN'T YOU ASHAMED?

Anchor Scripture:   Romans 1: 16 Introduction The power of choice is given to man by God to choose whatever he wishes for himself because God had decided not to impose anything on man again (Gen. 6:3). Man therefore, has since, gone after many devices, inventing and re-inventing without restrictions from the Maker. Likewise, in religion today, man has the right and power to choose where he wants to belong. Equally, he is at liberty to choose what he wants to believe or not believe. Yet still, he has the liberty to choose what he wants to do or not; including the way he wants to behave. To this end therefore, there are many sects, many of which are actually of the devil, the deceiver, but who masquerades as churches of the living God (2 Corinthians 11: 13 – 15). The Holy Bible is unambiguous as to what constitutes a Christian lifestyle. God is magnanimous enough to variously outline, in the Scriptures, how a Christian is expected to live their life; the admonitions cove
